This is the BEST Japanese restaurant Iβve been to ever! The food here is incredible and super delicious! I tried the mussel and original Japanese wasabi which were both amazing. I also tried the lobster and crab sushi as well as the salmon and shrimp! The food they provide is known to be fresh and tasty. The chiefs are super nice so as the waiters! Really great service and it was really nice to eat at To-Kai. I hope to be back soon to try the Hibachi and possibly other dishes they serve. I have absolutely zero negative comments.

I took my daughter. It was our first time at a hibachi. It was a fun experience and the food was delicious.

Iβve been to Tokai before and usually have a great experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. The food today was honestly not up to par. Everything tasted off the steak had almost no flavor, and the vegetables, which are usually one of the best parts, were burnt. Overall, the food just wasnβt good. The cook was friendly, but it felt like he was more focused on putting on a show than actually cooking the food properly. The heat seemed way too high, which made the lobster come out rubbery instead of tender. At one point, he added pepper to the rice and it was overwhelming everyone at the table was coughing and choking, which made the experience really uncomfortable. Service was also off today. Normally the staff is welcoming and attentive, but this time there was a noticeable attitude that made things feel less enjoyable. This felt like a completely off day for Tokai. Itβs frustrating to spend around $120 and leave unsatisfied. Because of this experience, Iβm honestly hesitant to come back anytime soon, if at all. Iβm not sure what was going on today, but between the food and the service, it just wasnβt worth it.
